Background

The Organization for Humanitarian Assistance and Development (OHAD) was founded in 2018 by a group of Afghan volunteers and formally registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2020. As a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization, OHAD is dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities across Afghanistan. Over the years, its work has expanded from emergency humanitarian aid to include livelihoods, education, legal assistance, gender equity, food security, agriculture, and capacity building. Guided by a vision of a just and prosperous Afghanistan, OHAD continues to empower individuals and communities through sustainable development and humanitarian initiatives.

Our mission is to empower vulnerable communities in Afghanistan by enhancing their coping mechanisms, promoting social justice,and advocating for positive policy and institutional change. We strive to create lasting opportunities in education, livelihoods, and development so people can live with dignity and hope.

To clarify rehabilitation assistance required in Afghanistan
To convince and satisfy donors to contribute for rehabilitation of Afghanistan
To seek financial, food and non-food items assistance and cooperation for Afghan vulnerable residents.
To ease and facilitate the repatriation, resettlement process of Afghan refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs).To protect environment and agriculture production.
To expedite and enhance the emergency aid to the most destitute and vulnerable Afghans through the implementation of the humanitarian assistance projects.
to protect the social infrastructure and income sources of Afghanistan.
In respect to the rights of women OHAD will fortify the women by income generation and women related projects.
To provide work opportunity to the most vulnerable people of Afghanistan.
To provide potable and drinkable water for the local inhabitants.
