Background

The Organization for Humanitarian Assistance and Development (OHAD) was founded in 2018 by a group of Afghan volunteers and formally registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2020. As a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization, OHAD is dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities across Afghanistan. Over the years, its work has expanded from emergency humanitarian aid to include livelihoods, education, legal assistance, gender equity, food security, agriculture, and capacity building. Guided by a vision of a just and prosperous Afghanistan, OHAD continues to empower individuals and communities through sustainable development and humanitarian initiatives.
